wildfires in Greece

Greece, August 2021. Hundreds of forest fires broke out across the country amid the most intense and prolonged heat wave in the last 30 years, when temperatures reached 47 degrees Celsius.
The negligence of the state fire control mechanism in Evia reduced more than 50,000 hectares of forests, agricultural land, dozens of houses and animals to ashes.
