Faces of Uzbekistan

"Faces of Uzbekistan" is a project dedicated to the beauty of the Uzbek soul expressed through traditional outfits, hats, fabrics and jewelry. Each photo is a whole story told by silk and embroidery. This is a combination of modern photo technique with ancient aesthetics.

Reflection of beauty and traditions: the photos were taken for the Uzbek fashion magazine Cafb.asia. The photos represent a unique project that embodies a variety of styles and cultural influences. A bright project about multinationality of the city of Tashkent.

Fragility and strength. These antagonist characteristics became the basis of my part of the photo project. I deliberately emphasized the external fragility of a woman and her inner strength. Despite the massive and rather heavy basket on her head, she retained a straight posture and a bright open look. I couldn't help but add traditional elements — I associate the first month of spring with the awakening of everything around me and with our Navruz holiday.

A modern reading of the national fabric in the costume of the designer of the Moel Bosh brand presented against the background of the suzan of the picturesque corner of the Chorsu market.

Modern circus performers are descendants of the craft of famous dorbose, street circus performers of Central Asia. During their tours, the dorbose not only entertain the audience with their performances, but also help to preserve and pass on the unique heritage of Uzbek folklore and traditions. Their nomadic performances fill the atmosphere of celebration and happiness, bringing joy and inspiration to those who meet them on their way. Each new place becomes an opportunity for the dorbose to share their art and unique culture with everyone who is ready to plunge into the world of oriental magic.
