«Dialogue of Cultures» Media Forum in St. Petersburg gathers journalists and bloggers from 29 countries

During the event, Director of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky noted that «it is very important to unite everyone in dialogue, because we all speak the same language». Sergei Novikov, Head of the Russian Presidential Directorate for Social Projects, emphasized in his video address that all visitors are «in the very heart of Russia's cultural life». Vladimir Ryabovol, Chairman of the Committee on Press and Media Relations, noted that the Hermitage has become a platform for such a large-scale and significant event, which has been held for 18 years. He expressed sincere gratitude to the head of the Hermitage for his support and the opportunity to develop new projects.

Piotrovsky, in turn, addressed media representatives and noted the influence of the «fourth estate» on people's minds. He emphasized the importance of what journalists convey to the masses, because the future of Russia, its culture, and its heritage depend on it. Many master classes were prepared for the event participants. Forum guests will have the opportunity to debate and discuss the most pressing and relevant topics. The «Dialogue of Cultures» forum will last until the end of the week. During this time, participants will also have the opportunity to visit Tver, Veliky Novgorod, and Yasnaya Polyana.
