Ashot Jazoyan, a well—known journalist, director, producer and screenwriter, who recently visited Tashkent, spoke about this possibility.
During the visit, Jazoyan held numerous meetings, including with young authors, journalists, photographers and documentaries of Uzbekistan, with the leadership and students of the VGIK Tashkent headed by the director of the Institute, Iqbol Melikuziev, with the head of the Cinematography Agency, Shukhrat Rizaev, and the Deputy khokim of Tashkent for tourism, culture, cultural heritage and mass communications, Sanjar Tajiev.
The premiere of Jazoyan’s new film "Petersburg! Life in the city…", and the creation of films dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory over Fascism and the 500th anniversary of Alisher Navoi was also discussed.
Most importantly, Jazoyan emphasized everywhere that talented Uzbek photographers, journalists, directors, etc. are expected in St. Petersburg this May, because it is there that the XIX International media forum "Dialogue of Cultures" will be held at the Hermitage, organized by the Media Congress "Commonwealth of Journalists" with the support of the Russian Union of Journalists and the Russkiy Mir Foundation.".
Every year, the Dialogue of Cultures becomes an international cultural event and unites the brightest creative people from all over the world and no matter what. And perhaps this year the creativity of one or even several Uzbek creators will shine through the "Dialogue of Cultures" for the whole world!
